국 문 초 록
본 연구는 충남 자살자의 개인적 특성에 따른 자살원인과 수단에 대한 차이분석을 실시하는데 목적이 있다. 분석자료는 2006년부터 2008년까지 3년간 경찰청의 충남 자살자 통계자료이다. 자살자의 특성인 성, 학력, 직업에 따라 빈도분석을 실시하였으며, 이러한 개인 특성에 따른 자살원인과 자살수단에 대한 차이분석을 위하여 교차분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 자살자의 성, 학력, 직업에 따라 자살원인과 자살수단에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 첫째, 성별에 따라 자살원인으로 남성은 우울감, 경제문제 그리고 이성문제 및 가정불화 등에서 여성보다 높게 나타났으며, 여성은 정신이상이나 병고 등에 높은 분포를 나타났다. 자살수단으로 남성은 의사, 여성은 음독이나 투신이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 학력별 자살원인으로 무학은 병고, 고졸이하의 학력에서는 우울감에 의한 자살이 높게 나타났다. 반면에 대재이상의 학력에서는 정신이상, 경제문제 및 사업실패, 이성문제 및 불화가 높게 나타났다. 자살수단으로 무학은 음독, 고졸이하의 학력에서는 의사와 투신이 대체로 높게 나타났다. 반면에 대재이상의 학력에서는 의사, 익사, 투신이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 직업별 자살원인으로 사무직의 경우 우울감, 이성문제 및 가정불화가 상대적으로 높으며, 농업종사자의 경우에는 병고, 우울감이 가장 높게 나타났다. 상업종사자는 우울감과 이성문제 및 가정불화로 나타났으며, 특히 2008년의 경우에는 우울감이 높게 나타났다. 노동종사자는 병고와 우울감으로 인한 자살원인이 높게 나타났다. 직업별 자살수단으로 사무직의 경우 의사, 농업종사자의 경우에는 음독자살이 높게 나타났다. 상업종사자의 경우에는 의사, 음독, 노동종사자의 경우에는 의사, 무직자의 경우에는 음독과 투신이 높게 나타났다.
영 문 초 록
This study aims to look into the individual differences according to the causes and methods committing suicide. We analysed police statistical report of suicide in south chungcheong province, 2006-2008. We executed frequency analysis according to Sex, education, and occupation which are characteristics of a suicide. And in order to search the individual differences in causes and methods of suicide, we used cross analysis. The more frequent causes of male than female are depression, financial problems and problems related to opposite sex. In female, more frequent causes are psychiatric illnesses and physical illnesses. Other aspects of causes of suicide according to academic attainment reveals that illnesses in uneducated, depressive mood in attainment of high school, and psychiatric illnesses financial problems and failure in business in college and university graduate affected to commit suicide. Men are usually committed suicide by hanging, while female by taking poison or fall down. Uneducated person chose poisoning, attainment of highschool education person chose hanging and fall down and the person who attained above college education usually committed suicide by hanging, drowning or fall down. Occupational differences have effected causes of committing suicide. Clerical persons committed suicide due to depressive mood, domestic differences and opposite sex related problems. Person who engaged agriculture committed suicide due to physical illness and depressive mood. Person who engaged in commerce committed suicide due to depressive mood, opposite sex related problems and domestic differences. The causes of suicide of laborer are physical illnesses and depressive mood. Methods used in committing suicide dissimilar to occupations. Clergy used hanging, agriculturer used taking poison, laborer used hanging, merchant used hanging and taking poison, and unemployed person used poisoning and fall down.
