The purpose of the present study is to investigate reliability and validity of the vocabulary CBA based on an analysis of Korea s language curriculum in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of school. To do this study, vocabulary CBA was developed through an analysis of the Korean language curriculum, and the properties of vocabulary CBA were assessed using internal consistency and validity by exploratory factor analysis and the Pearson r correlation coefficient. In addition, discriminant function analysis was performed to explain validity as screening test for classify groups. For the purpose of examining the reliability and validity, 813 students completed the tests, and results showed promising evidence of their reliability and validity. Limitation and Implications for educational practice are discussed.
