The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of music therapy on the emotion and behaviors of a girl with
attention deficit disorder. The subject for this study is a seven-year girl. She was asked a therapy by her mother. The
program of music therapy lasted from the first of June to the tenth of August in 2009, once a week for 12 sessions.
Research measurement are Conners Teacher\'s Rating Scale and observation of emotional, behavioral changes as well
as the duration of attention by two observers. The conclusion of research are as follows; First, as to the observation
of emotion and behaviors, there were positive changes. Second, as to analysis of the attention duration, there were
positive changes on the duration of attention. Thus, there was positive improvements on the emotion and behaviors
of a child with attention deficit disorder. This results confirmed that music therapy was effective on the increase of
attention duration and the frequency of eye contact as well as the positive change of the emotion and behaviors of
a child with attention deficit disorder. The limitation of this study is difficult to generalize these results, but the following
research through music therapy was asked to children with attention deficit disorder.
