This study analyzed whether the level of leisure satisfaction had moderating
effects on the turnover intentions of hotel employees in accordance with role
stress. This study tested empirically by distributing total 420 copies of a
questionnaire to employees of five-star hotels in Seoul and Incheon and
collected 288 returns in total. SPSS was used to carry out frequency analysis,
principle component analysis, exploratory factor analysis, simple regression
analysis, and multiple regression analysis. According to the results, enhancing the
satisfactory level of a break, and the physical satisfactory level, lowers role
stress. This result might need further consistent verifications by adding variables
in further studies. Most extant studies focused on turnover intentions of hotel
employees, so on academic grounds this study is significant in that it analyzes
moderation effects of leisure satisfaction among effect relations in which hotel
employees' role stress influence their turnover intentions.
