upon prevention awareness. This study was carried out targeting 306 students from two middle schools located in
C Province from May 11 to May 29, 2009. SPSS WIN 12.0 Version program was used for statistical processing. The statistical
significance was set to p<0.05. Results are as follows: In correlation among variables, the experience of sex education
showed low positive correlation with prevention awareness (r=0.146, p<0.05). The institution of AIDS education showed a
negative correlation with prevention awareness (r=-0.219, p<0.01). On the other hand, general knowledge (r=0.182, p<0.01),
infection-route knowledge (r=0.157, p<0.01), and attitude knowledge (r=0.280, p<0.01) showed low positive correlation with
prevention awareness. As for influence of AIDS knowledge upon prevention awareness, the institution of AIDS education
(b=-0.168, t=-2.085, p<0.05) and attitude (b=0.244, t=2.963, p<0.01) were indicated to have significant influence upon prevention
awareness.
